Watches were already inspiration to the company name
Ideas that simplify life - this is how the developments we have successfully marketed for almost twenty years can be described. It is always about the innovative use of proven technologies. And from the very beginning, we had the idea for exceptional watches that combine the know-how and precision of Swiss watchmaking with the digital world.
Therefore development of watches is already written into the company name: It combines "montre" and "SA", the French terms for "watch" and "public limited company", to form montresa.

montresa. was founded almost 20 years ago by Beat Brändle, a telecommunications engineer with a bachelor's degree in telecommunications engineering and computer science. At that time, he created and marketed telecommunications technology "Made in Switzerland" for international corporations worldwide. His successful creations include, for example, the first Swiss pocket knife equipped with a USB memory, a multiple socket that can be switched on/off by SMS and a mobile phone with a location and emergency call function called creon that can be configured remotely via its own online portal. |

In connection with the Hybrid Watches project, Beat assembled a team of specialists with many years of experience. This made it possible to create an outstanding product. A private label watch manufacturer, watch designer and specialist for short-distance radio transmission from the Biel region, various contract manufacturers from all over Switzerland and, of course, specialists for marketing and social media. |

Based on the experience with the creon, the first senior emergency call mobile phone, the first generation of the montresa. Hybrid Watch product family, the secure - a classic watch with trigger function for the well-known senior emergency call. For many years, Beat has controlled some of his electrical devices in his home (lights, music, door and roller shutters) remotely with his mobile phone via SMS. With the knowledge of the secure in his pocket, it was possible to bring and expand these long-standing habits into the modern world of smartphones with app, the trend - a remote control always available, was born. |

In the montresa. app, you can individually define which commands (including command chains consisting of several actions) are triggered by a click on one of the buttons (short, long or double). Each pusher allows you to trigger three commands (short, long, double click), i.e. commands or command chains in your IoT. |

With their easily replaceable button cell battery, the montresa. Swiss Hybrid Watches run reliably for at least one year. So you are independent. No daily recharging, no searching for a charging cable and charger. This is how smart the watches work
With a discreet click - short, long or double - on one of the pushers, the montresa. Swiss Hybrid Watches send a Bluetooth command to the montresa. app on your smartphone.
The app then triggers the corresponding application in your smartphone - from the simple opening of the garage door to complex chains of commands (flow) when leaving the office (e.g. lights off, all devices off, shutters down and doors closed) or when arriving home or even just the call for help with position indication from an uncomfortable position.
